Hey guys...im needing to alter a dog pen at the wife's work..i was aasked to use weld mesh 50x50mm.now panels 8x4ft works out quite dear and with fair bit of waste..
Has anybody used the weld mesh roll ?

Just wondered if its as sturdy as weld mesh sheets and how easy it is to roll out and get flat?
You can get 3mm rolls aswell bit dont thin it needs to be so heavy duty that nd not sire how well 3mm would roll bck out..hence asking what peoples experiences are.
12swg is 2.5mm, sheets will come in 3mm 4mm etc, handling and straightening a roll on your own is a bit like wrestling a grizzly bear, and never looks a straight as a sheet, probably ok for a dog pen though
I built my dog run with the a roll of weld mesh. It was easy to work with. It's over ten years old now and still in good nick, should see another ten years. I managed to tension it a wee bit but for a dog run it doesn't matter a lot
Consider that 8x4 panels are cut from a roll anyway.
I have a roll here of 75x25x3mm weld mesh that pulls flat when clamped into a 6ftx3ft 50x50x3 angle frame.
I've built several dog pens in this manner without issues

Is that a sly sales pitch hehe.where did you get it from? I need around 12m in total but dont mi d having more for another down the line project
