From the beginning, our goal has been to promote healthy living and respect for the environment by creating affordable, easy to use alternatives to single-use plastic bags.
At this time Lunchskins bags are made in China/HK. Our B Corp Certification requires that ALL of our partners meet the standards for quality, safety, fair labor, ethical business practices, and environmental responsibility.
That being said, we have been actively searching for a North American / European partner for quite some time. Our bags sustainable material requirements and testing standards make them very difficult to produce. The US/North America does not currently have the required production capabilities, and we are not able to source the sustainable materials required for majority of our products. We continue to actively search for a North American / European partner and are hopeful that in the near future we will be successful.
Our BPI-Certification was also awarded outside of the US due to the fact there are no current BPI testing facilities domestically. We are working very hard with our local regulators to do all that we can to ensure that the US is stringent on sustainability.
Thank you for trusting Lunchskins to both make and market a truly sustainable product.
We are responding here to the misleading claims regarding PFAs made in the recent Mamavation Blog and a related article by The Guardian. We understand concerns regarding PFAs associated with any product and agree that PFAs need to be taken very seriously.
Lunchskins products are made without PFAs, and we dispute the articles’ conclusions, particularly because they are only based on fluorine testing. We are working with our legal team to address these claims directly with the authors/publishers to correct misinformation and clear up any confusion.
Lunchskins uses Eurofins, an accredited lab in the USA, to conduct PFA testing for all of its products. We do not release products for sale if they contain PFAs, and we can assure you that Lunchskins products are made without PFAs.
We are proud to report that all of our Paper Bags and our new Ziptop Compostable Plant-Based bags are made without BPA, BPF, and BPS.
Please know that as moms we take the health of our consumers and our planet very seriously. We are happy to answer any additional questions or concerns that you may have.
Warmest,
Lunchskins

We cannot advise the exact amount of time that it will take for our paper bags to decompose in your home composting process. However, on average it can take 2 weeks to 3 months. There are a lot of variables to the decomposition time, but, you can do certain things to speed up that process.
The amount of time the paper takes to decompose varies. For example, if the temperature drops to freezing, the paper won't decompose. Mixing items like banana peels, bread and strawberries, which mold quickly, with the paper increases the rate of decomposition. Worms will also make the process occur faster.
Our Recyclable + Sealable Glassine paper bags (Orange, Shark, Apple and Green Stripe) are great for short-term freezer use. They’re perfect for storing items like bread, fruits, chopped veggies, or baked goods.
Because they’re made from uncoated, glassine paper—not plastic—they naturally breathe a bit more and will soften over time in the freezer. While they hold up well for typical freezer needs, they aren’t designed for long-term or indefinite storage. It’s all part of our mission to offer functional, planet-friendly alternatives to single-use plastics.
Pro Tip: Prep your favorite smoothie ingredients, pack and freeze in your Lunchskins Recyclable + Sealable Paper bag. Then in the morning, throw in your smoothie pack into the blender and add your favorite liquid (we go for the almond milk, juice or coconut water).
Microwave-Safe:
Yes. Our paper bags are Microwave-safe (W (or less) microwave). Microwave for up to 2 Mins. Heating beyond 2 minutes is NOT recommended!

Many operators like to choose paper containers because they are available in a variety of colors that match the color scheme of their establishment. Custom food packaging goes beyond practicality; it enhances your brand image, ensures better customer satisfaction, and provides an opportunity to stand out in a competitive market. Here's how:
Custom packaging with your logo, tagline, or brand colors can create a memorable impression on your customers. When people see your unique packaging, it reinforces your brand identity and helps them associate positive experiences with your food. Over time, this increases brand loyalty and word-of-mouth referrals.
Tailored packaging ensures your food arrives in the best condition possible. Custom features like compartments for sauces or vented lids for steam release can make meals more enjoyable for your customers, improving their overall dining experience.
Custom food packaging can also reflect your commitment to sustainability. By choosing eco-friendly materials such as PLA or bagasse, you can align your brand with environmentally conscious values, which is increasingly important to modern consumers. Highlighting these choices on your packaging can further boost your brand's appeal.
With the right customization, your food packaging can ensure optimal safety for hot and cold foods. For instance, customized PP containers with leak-resistant seals are ideal for soups or curries, while custom aluminum trays can prevent spills during transport for baked dishes.
Your packaging can serve as a mobile advertisement. Whether customers carry it in public or share pictures of their meals online, your brand gets visibility. Incorporating QR codes or social media handles onto your custom packaging encourages digital engagement, helping you connect with your audience on multiple platforms.
Custom food packaging can be designed to optimize material usage and reduce waste. Instead of one-size-fits-all containers, you can create packaging tailored to the size and shape of your portions, lowering costs and reducing environmental impact.
